Overview

There are numerous MathML style and layout properties that can be modified for most templates. These MathML properties can be tricky to use, since they interact with each other and their effects can change as the structure of the equation changes during editing. Proper use of style and layout properties is the most complicated aspect of MathML authoring.

To simplify controlling style and layout properties, the MathFlow editor automatically handles most of the details. You merely select an expression, open its properties dialog box and change the appropriate values. In most cases, the process is intuitive, and only a basic understanding of MathML properties is necessary.
